This is a night of Cuban music and jazz, with a violin out front. Dayren Santamaria grew up in Matanzas, Cuba, and started playing violin at eight. She has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra in Havana, and she now leads her own quintet, Made in Cuba. The group plays Latin jazz, which mixes jazz with Cuban rhythms and dance music like salsa. Bring someone who grew up with salsa, or someone who has never heard it live.
