Acoustic bassist and composer Trevor Ware formed Positive People to play his own music, and he's known for his years with the Count Basie Orchestra, the big band that made swing famous. The group puts teamwork first, so you'll hear the six players respond to each other all night, and sometimes to the audience. You'll hear soaring vocal melodies and horn harmonies from tenor sax and trombone, with music that keeps your foot tapping. Much of it is made up on the spot, so anything can happen.

Bring someone who likes big bands but has never heard a newer one.
