What if everything you mistreated could answer back? In Maurice Ravel's one-act opera, a child's destructive tantrum sets a surprising transformation in motion. Furniture, books, and animals come to life and confront the child with the consequences of his behavior. The fantasy becomes a lesson in compassion as the familiar world of home and garden acquires voices of its own. The Opera Buffs presents two performances, offering a point of entry for those curious about opera.
