Expect a haunted house mystery that's a little funny and a little creepy, with plenty of shrieks and laughs.

Twenty years after an eccentric millionaire dies, his relatives gather at midnight in his spooky old mansion to hear the will. The heir inherits a condition, and then the house starts to feel strange. Paul Leni's 1927 film stars Laura La Plante. It was so popular that it helped turn the haunted house movie into its own genre. Piano accompaniment by Larry Garf, with a discussion from Rich Procter.

The blend of scares and jokes is why it still plays so well with audiences today.
