Expect a night of new opera in short pieces. The Opera Buffs bring their New Opera Pop-Up back to the Playhouse, featuring new works by composers and librettists selected from an open call for submissions. The singers are Southern California artists, and the room is small enough that you can follow every expression on stage.

If you've been curious about opera but haven't found the right way in, these shorter pieces are a good place to start.
