Channing Holmes
Tap Dancer
Channing Holmes began his formal tap dance training at the age of six with mentor Alfred Desio, inventor of the "Zapped Taps" technology featured in the movie Tap, at the Colburn School of Performing Arts. In addition to his technical training, he was blessed with life lessons from legends such as Fayard Nicholas of the famed Nicholas Brothers, Jimmy Slyde, Leonard Reed, and shared several memorable moments with the great Gregory Hines.
Channing worked with Mr. Hines on The Gregory Hines Show (CBS), performed in several live guest spots, was featured in A Showtime Original: Bojangles, and even received a personal recommendation from Mr. Hines for a featured role in Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York.
