<p class="font_8">This new work in development by Farah Merani explores the life of Emilia Bassano, a trailblazing poet in Elizabethan England. This project delves into issues of gender, equity, and representation, with Farah, a Sundance Episodic Lab fellow, using the story to highlight the historical erasure of women’s voices and the ongoing fight for inclusion in the arts. After a week of creative development, the team will present a streamlined version of the piece and invite the audience to offer feedback, helping to shape the future of this important work.</p>
