Join Joshua Rubin, founding clarinetist of the International Contemporary Ensemble, for Waves in Bloom, a program that explores the ever-evolving relationship between classical instrumentation and electronic sound. Featuring performances by Rubin alongside saxophonist Marta Tiesenga, pianist Cory Smythe, and keyboardist Leila Adu, the evening showcases music that pushes the boundaries of acoustic and electronic interplay. Works by Dai Fujikura, Olly Wilson, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Adu herself set the stage for a world premiere collaboration between Tiesenga and Smythe. From intricate textures to bold sonic experimentation, Waves in Bloom offers a thrilling glimpse into the future of contemporary music.
