About
Public Displays of Altadena (PDA) was more than a theater—it was a home for bold, experimental performance, a space where artists took creative risks and audiences embraced the unexpected. When the Eaton Canyon Fire destroyed PDA in January 2025, the comedy and theater community rallied to support its revival. Now, Sierra Madre Playhouse is proud to present a special benefit performance featuring some of the most fearless voices in comedy today.
Hosted by comedian Frank Sriracha, this one-night-only event brings together an extraordinary lineup: Maria Bamford (Netflix’s Lady Dynamite, BoJack Horseman), Melissa Villaseñor (Saturday Night Live, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee), and Whitmer Thomas (HBO’s Whitmer Thomas: The Golden One, FXX’s Stone Quackers). Second show will feature Chris Garcia, Megan Gailey, & Johnny Pemberton in addition to Whitmer Thomas. These artists are known for their raw, unconventional, and deeply human comedic styles—an ethos that perfectly aligns with PDA’s mission of pushing creative boundaries.
Every dollar raised from ticket sales and donations will go directly toward rebuilding PDA, ensuring that this vital artistic space can continue fostering innovative, risk-taking performances for years to come. Join us in celebrating PDA’s past and supporting its future with an evening of laughter, resilience, and community.
