About
Sangam's sound is imbued with the spirit of jazz improvisation and accented by elements of Latin, folk, and popular music. Sangam—meaning "a confluence of rivers"—is a meeting point for diverse musical traditions. Paul and Pete have been recording and touring together for over 18 years, performing with Arohi Ensemble, Build an Ark, and Quartetto Fantastico, among many others in the globalized Los Angeles creative music scene. They’ve also appeared on four Grammy Award-winning albums with artists such as Ozomatli, Juan Gabriel, Quetzal, and Ricky Kej, drawing from an expansive palette that includes South Asian and Western classical music, as well as African, Latin, pop, hip-hop, and country.
