Los Angeles-based TAIKOPROJECT is partnering up with Gamelan Merdu Kumala for two performances at Sierra Madre Playhouse. In blending art making with cultural roots from Japan and Indonesia, this collaboration hopes to create a new musical bridge between these two rich traditions.

Celebrating innovation and creativity, these concerts will spotlight works by living composers based in Los Angeles, showcasing Wild Up's unique blend of new music, theater, performance art, and pop.

Led by “Prince of Violin” and trailblazer for the Maihar Gharana, Indradeep Ghosh, this dynamic trio brings together string traditions from the East and West. Indradeep Ghosh’s violin weaves in deep conversation with Chris Votek’s cello and Neelamjit Dhillon’s rhythmic virtuosity on tabla.
